She is soaked in a clear solution of 2% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate and 70% v/v isopropyl alcohol. Designed for the disinfection of intact skin prior to invasive procedures, this product helps reduce bacterial flora on the skin to decrease the risk of surgical site infection.

The antiseptic solution in the SoluPrep ™ Wipe 3M TM begins killing microorganisms upon contact with the skin. This solution then prevents the growth of bacteria for at least 72 hours after application.
